Geelong's own 'Share The Dignity' Digni-Tea
Join us for Geelong's own 'Share The Dignity' Digni-Tea event!
Let's come together for a worthy cause at 1915 at The Federal Mills. Get ready to enjoy a delightful afternoon filled with tea, treats, and meaningful conversations.
We are raising funds for our THIRD annual packing party ‘It’s In The Bag’ that takes place in November where we pack bags for Women. Teens, Mum’s and Bub’s in need, that are then distributed to charities in the Greater Geelong and surrounding areas.
With no major businesses or donations to back us, we rely on donations from local businesses collecting on our behalf and the generosity of our family and friends to donate and help us pack the bags. As Mums of daughters of different ages we are passionate about supporting women and teens in our local region.
Featuring the Share the Dignity's founder and managing director Rochelle Courtnaey as our Keynote Speaker (the day before she speaks at the Melbourne event!) as well as some of the best women’s healthcare professionals in the Geelong region.
Dr Yvonne McCartney and Dr Elise Davey founders of Menopause Health Geelong and Kensington Hill Geelong where they are both GP's and practice principals of the clinic. Both Mum's and understanding the needs of women at all stages of life, Dr McCartney and Dr Davey really have seen it all!
Aly Kiely a Women’s Health Physiotherapist at Physio Pod Co. and Head Pilates Instructor at Physio Pod Flow. A new Mum herself, she certainly knows what it is like to be juggling all the things as well as trying to help your pelvic floor (along with other things!) get back into working order!
Dr Suzi Craig, a Dr of Chinese Medicine and an integrative women's health practitioner who specialises in Women’s Health and Wellbeing. With a different approach to treating hormonal changes, trying to conceive, menopause, contraception, and conditions like PCOS and endometriosis, she will add a different perspective to our afternoon which will be most welcomed!
Tying it altogether is Jess Pantou from K Rock as our MC for our Digni~Tea!
Currently one half of the Tim & Jess show for the drive home on Geelong’s radio station 95.5 K Rock, Jess was the kid at school that was too loud and talked too much, so she turned it into a career! Jess will bring her energy and laughs to the event as well as helping us with all things talking and raffles! It is going to be fun!
Followed by a delicious afternoon tea, a glass of bubbles +/- a hot and/or cold beverage, some laid back tunes by Gabby Steel and a chance to catch up, all the while the opportunity to win some awesome raffle prizes.
It's In The Bag 2024
GEELONG!!! We just packed 81 bags to help end period poverty!!!
What a fantastic effort Geelong!!! We packed 81 bags to help end period poverty more than doubling our efforts from 2023 where we packed 36 bags!
With no major businesses or big sponsored donations to back us (not for the lack of trying!) we rely on donations from local businesses collecting on our behalf and the generosity of the community, our family and friends to donate and help us pack the bags. As Mums of daughters of different ages we are passionate about supporting women and teens in our local region.
A huge thank you to Rach from Endo Geelong for all of her help and for once again supplying us with the space at Geelong Illustators to pack our bags and to Jess from the Geelong region of Share The Dignity for coming along to share how the charity has impacted her life and helped her along the way and her family growing up.

A conversation:with Sal and Im from 'Good Mourning' podcast LIVE
An honest, in-depth conversation about grief and loss in today’s society but without all the sad bits. Jo, Sal & Im will talk about it all.
About Sal and Im:
Sally Douglas and Imogen Carn are grief educators, co-hosts of the podcast Good Mourning and authors of Good Mourning: Honest Conversations About Grief and Loss.
Passionate about changing how society thinks and talks about grief, Good Mourning was born from Sally and Imogen's personal experiences with loss, after both losing their mothers suddenly months apart. Having experienced the magnitude of loss firsthand and shocked at how little society acknowledges grief, Sal and Im wondered what they could do to help make grief a topic that people talk about more openly. Good Mourning launched in September 2020, aiming to make the topic of grief more accessible. Their fresh take and authentic experience quickly resonated, sparking an engaged community of listeners and a rapidly growing online community of fellow grievers worldwide.
About Jo:
Jo Betz was a savvy businesswoman and highly-sought after marriage celebrant - having officiated over 450 weddings - when all of a sudden, she was planning her husband’s funeral when he died suddenly of an asthma attack in the middle of the night. She had gone from celebrating love to being swallowed by grief in the matter of a single evening. She was now a widow, and a single mother to a young daughter.
A natural communicator, Jo is now passionate about sharing her interesting perspective and contemporary approach to a delicate subject - with equal parts honesty and humour - and using her powerful story to humanise grief for others while providing actionable strategies that help people dealing with loss to ‘just feel good again’.
Tickets: $30.00 + bf. The event is a fundraiser for Hope Bereavement Care.
